Yesterday we launched a free community engagement masterclass (still open).

Over 100 people joined in a few hours. Some people gave long introductions, some gave short introductions, some gave no introductions.

As a community manager with limited time and juggling many priorities, with which group would you spend your time?

Which group has the greatest potential to become active members? Which group should you try to keep active, build relationships with and ensure they connect with others?

This is a simple question, it’s the group that gave the long introductions.

Too many community managers spend too much time on people who will never become active members. Focus on the people that have shown an initial commitment to be there.
